Matrix mobile clinical charting technology - Point of Care - helps hands-on clinical staff more accurately document resident care and promotes timely communication between clinical staff, physicians, etc. Matrix Point of Care combines the convenience of portable device documentation, the integration of new data with existing records and the virtual elimination of paper-based records. Matrix Point of Care is fully integrated with Matrix to provide a manageable operational environment and security-protected real-time access to resident care information at any level of the organization.
Matrix Point of Care can be accessed on a number of portable devices, such as tablets, kiosk PCs, and more. CNAs and other users can access resident care needs and assignment information as well as complete documentation on MDS supporting data and vital signs, intakes, and outputs. Real-time integration with Matrix coordinates the scheduling of MDS and vital sign required-charting and resident alerts for vitals that are out of range. This integration automatically updates the resident record with vitals documentation and provides supporting data for MDS completion.
An integrated system is the key to a successful clinical operation because it makes efficient interdisciplinary sharing of vital information possible. Point of Care provides real-time data sharing and communication that eliminates the need to sync systems or download information.
Documentation is a one-step process, eliminating the need to keep fragmented paper-based medical records. Users are alerted to the areas where documentation is required for their shifts.
Access to real-time resident care information is available to the entire interdisciplinary team.
Matrix Point of Care documentation enhances the evaluation of care provided to help determine the resident’s current condition and needs.
Less time spent tending to paperwork and administrative tasks increases time spent with residents and providing quality resident care.
Caregivers receive clear communication of resident needs and the tools to organize their time, documentation and data through Matrix assessments and events. This information helps Matrix Point of Care users make more informed decisions about resident care.
The Point of Care Look Back option allows direct care staff to see a defined amount of history regarding items documented in Matrix Point of Care to further eliminate the need for clip boards or other binders traditionally used to track toileting, vitals, and other tasks. Security driven setup allows the facility or corporation to control the amount of Look back history to be displayed. Look back functionality allows caregivers to plan tasks, stay on schedule, and see any important changes in resident status at a glance.
Optimize RUGs reimbursement through more accurate MDS supporting documentation, including ADLs, therapies, mood and behavior.
Electronic charting eliminates time spent organizing, recoding, and searching for paper-based charts. In addition, you decrease the amount of paper and duplication of effort, and improve the ability to capture accurate measurement of resources used for resident care.
